Justin Trudeau promises Zelensky a significant investment in arms to support Ukraine

During President Zelensky’s visit to Canada, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he would allocate the equivalent of 452 million euros to send 50 armored vehicles to Ukraine. The two countries also signed a free trade agreement for the stability of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a free trade agreement with Canada which will “support the long-term security, stability and development” of Ukraine.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he would allocate 650 million Canadian dollars, the equivalent of 452 million euros, to send 50 armored vehiclesmanufactured by Canadian companies.

Canada will also impose economic sanctions on 63 Russian entities and individuals “complicit in the illegal transfer and custody of Ukrainian children.”

Trudeau and Zelensky are traveling to Toronto this Saturday to meet the local Ukrainian community.

Zelensky flew to the Canadian capital Thursday evening after meeting with President Joe Biden and lawmakers in Washington. On Wednesday, he spoke at the annual United Nations meeting.

Ukrainian attack on the Black Sea in Crimea

Friday Ukraine attacked with missiles the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, at Sevastopol, Crimea. The person responsible for Ukrainian intelligence services, Kyrylo Budanov, says attack is gone nine dead and 16 wounded, including two Russian generals.

For its part, ****Russian Ministry of Defense said the attack damaged the Black Sea Fleet headquarters barracks building and injured at least six people, but He did not announce that there had been any deaths.

The attack came a day after Russia bombarded Ukrainian towns with missile and artillery strikes, killing at least five people.

Military experts say that if Ukraine continues its attacks on targets in Crimea, it could degrade Russia’s morale and weaken its military.

According to Ukrainian authorities, most of the 40 Russian missiles fired were shot down, but some fell on civilian structures.
