HOLY SUNDAY.- The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Canada organized a conference reception with businessmen, Canadian government officials and the diplomatic corps accredited in this country, during which Robin Bernstein, former ambassador of the United States United in this Caribbean country, praised the Dominican destiny.

The activity was defined by the Dominican Ambassador to Canada, Michelle Cohen, as a prelude to the organization of a second joint (public-private) mission to the Dominican Republic to explore trade and investment opportunities.

The conference reception, sponsored by the Dominican Embassy in Canada, was attended by Ms. Robin Bernstein, former United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, as special guest.

Bernstein stressed that he visited Ottawa to demonstrate the important relations between this Caribbean country and the United States.

The diplomat highlighted the ease of doing business in the country and what the thriving tourism sector offers foreign investors.

Dominican Ambassador to Canada Michelle Cohen thanked those present, especially Ms. Bernstein, for accepting the invitation to such an important meeting and for the work carried out in the country during her tenure as a diplomat.

He recalled that as ambassador, Bernstein received a trade mission of about 50 companies, ports and trade representatives from the state of Florida, who were very interested in the Dominican Republic.
