CAMCHAMRD strengthens its business relationships with Canadian entrepreneurs

The Dominican Embassy in Canada and the Canadian Dominican Chamber of Commerce (CAMCHAMRD) and its president, Mr. Gustavo A de Hostos, in coordination with the Round Table of Commonwealth Countries in the Dominican Republic, organized a networking cocktail in honor of the high Canadian trade mission which visited Santo Domingo in order to reactivate commercial relations between the two nations.

The Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Canada, HE Michelle Cohen, as well as the Ambassador of Canada to the country, HE Christine Laberge, were present at the event. Likewise, the Ambassador and Director General for Latin America and the Caribbean of Canada, Her Excellency Sylvia Cesaratto, was present.

During the meeting, the investment opportunities that exist between the two nations in tourism, trade and exchanges of an innovative and scientific nature were clearly identified.

The Dominican Republic aims to be the ideal space to discuss new joint strategies between the multi-sectoral entities of the two nations in order to increase commercial and tourist flows and attract more investments in the near future, as well as in the medium and long term.

This “networking” cocktail laid the foundations for the promotion of various promotional spaces aimed at creating new business opportunities between public and private entities from Canada and the Dominican Republic.

Gustavo de Hostos indicated that the Dominican-Canadian Chamber of Commerce will send a very high-level trade mission in the first half of June 2022, in order to continue promoting commercial and cultural cooperation ties with Canada.
