Mexico.- Canada has imposed a visa requirement on Mexican nationals to enter this country.
For the moment, this measure is already sowing confusion among Mexicans who had already planned a trip to Canada, as is the case of the young student Ramsés Espino who went here to the Canadian embassy located in Polanco.
He told Enfoque that with this visa measure for Canada he could lose everything he had contracted in advance.
“It's quite complicated since it's the first time I've traveled to Canada and they really left me with a lot of doubts, the flights were lost, the place was lost, I had planned to arrive in Toronto” , did he declare.
Another similar case is that of Jesús, who has no problem entering Canada, but the people he was planning to travel with do so.
“I don't have a problem, but my friends do, we were going to go as a group, they don't have an American visa, now we have to apply for a new visa,” he said.
Thus, Canada will increase travel requirements for Mexicans. Electronic authorization (ETA) requests must be accompanied by the existence of a valid US visa or a Canadian visa within the last ten years. Mexicans who do not meet the above conditions must apply for a Canadian visa.
