Canadian citizen found dead in Medellín allegedly fell from his own height

A foreign citizen, of Canadian origin, was found dead in the Belén neighborhood of Medellín. Forensics have revealed the possible causes of death of the 60-year-old man, identified as Sallo Lloyd.

The National Police officers realized that this individual was lying on the ground and, seeing the blow to the head, they rushed him to the Belén Intermediate Unit to provide him with treatment.
Due to the severity of the blow, the Canadian was transferred to the Medellín General Hospital, but the doctors could not save him.

One of the hypotheses for the death of Sallo Lloyd is a possible fall, which caused a violent blow to the head which ended his life. However, the authorities are awaiting the opinion of Legal Medicine.

With the death of the Canadian citizen, At least 7 foreigners have reportedly been killed in Medellín so far in 2024.

“We will constantly pursue those who take advantage of our tourists to steal from them, but also those who visit us to sexually and commercially exploit our children and adolescents”said Manuel Villa, security secretary of the Antioquia capital.
