Yoon celebrates 60th anniversary of South Korea-Canada relations

Abu Dhabi, 15 Jan. (Yonhap) — South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol celebrated the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Canada on Sunday.

In his tweet posted from Abu Dhabi, where he is on a state visit, Yoon wrote, “Congratulations to @JustinTrudeau and the Canadian people on the 60th anniversary of South Korea-Canada relations!”

The South Korean President added that he looked forward to working closely with the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeauto further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Yoon and Trudeau held a summit meeting in Canada in September and agreed to move the bilateral relationship forward towards a comprehensive strategic partnership.
