SAN NICOLAS DE LOS GARZA, NL | Thursday, June 9, 2022.- The Canadian Carmelina Moscato joins, from this moment, as the new coach of Tigres Femenil, becoming the first female and foreign technical director to lead our team.

Moscato has had quite the career as a professional player, including 15 years wearing the Canadian national team jersey, although she always knew she was destined to become a coach one day.

“We are very happy to welcome Carmelina to Tigres Femenil, we are sure that her vast experience as a Canadian national team player, and the preparation she has had as a technical director in Europe and in her country natal, will bring many advantages to the team because it respects the Tiger profile 100%,” said Antonio Sancho, Sporting Vice-President of the Club.

Moscato took assistant coaching courses at the Canadian Soccer Association and coached her country’s youth team, the Bahamas team and finally FC Nordsjaelland of the Danish league, where she played up before accepting the reins of the Women’s Tigers.

“I think (at Tigres Femenil) that we have stars in the team, top players and a presence in the women’s football community. It’s something very special and interesting,” said Moscato of Denmark. in an interview with the Club.

The Canadian’s experience, her love for the sport, her desire to learn more and always strive to be at the top are some of the many reasons that convinced her to come to Tigres Femenil.

Carmelina knows that with her incorporation, she will have to adapt to the Tiger profile which requires a winning mentality and culture.

“We have to honor what we have and take it to another level. Understand what made this club so special before I arrived and improve it. It’s my job.

“I know clearly from all the conversations I’ve had with the team that it’s all about winning the championship. That’s the goal. He’s building an even stronger organization without losing sight of the winning the title and the competitive nature. That’s the heart and soul of how it’s done.
