Mexico: American tourism multiplies Canadian tourism by plane tenfold

The main countries of international tourist arrivals by air to Mexico from January to October 2023 were the United States, Canada and Colombia, with 13 million 460 thousand tourists; This is 7% more compared to the first 10 months of 2022, and also exceeding by 23.8% the 10 million 871 thousand tourists from January-October 2019.

He added that the arrival of Canadian tourists by air during the same period of 2023 was 1,835,000 tourists, which is 51.6% more than the 1,210,000 tourists arriving during the same period of 2022 ; and exceeding by 3.8% those captured during the same period of 2019, i.e. one million 767 thousand tourists. During the months of January to October 2023, the arrival of Colombian tourists by air was 604,468 tourists.

Among the rest of the nationalities, 4 million 204 thousand tourists were recorded, an increase of 3.7% compared to January-October 2022.

In total until October this year, Mexico recorded the arrival of 17 million 664 thousand international tourists by air, representing an increase of 6.2% year-on-year.
