Layoffs at Ubisoft: Restructuring will affect 124 company employees worldwide

A new video game company has announced a restructuring process that will result in the dismissal of around a hundred employees: after similar movements in studios like Bungie, Media Molecule, Naughty Dog or Epic Games, we learned today that Ubisoft It will also soon lay off some of its employees.

More precisely, as reported Eurogamer, it seems that the part most affected by these layoffs is related to Ubisoft’s divisions in Canada. The company itself confirmed that the Hybrid studio, specializing in special effects (he collaborated on the production of The Mandalorian, for example) will be one of the main sources of layoffs. You won’t be the only one: Ubisoft Montreal and the company’s administrative and technical support teams will lose employees. In all 124 layoffs are expected all over the world, but most in Canada.
