Lance Stroll’s forgiveness for not being on par with Fernando Alonso at Aston Martin

“It’s been a pretty difficult season for me. I think I missed many opportunities in many races in which we had good results when the car was working well,” explained the son of team owner Lawrence Stroll.

“The first three races we were the second or third fastest car. Now McLaren is going faster, Mercedes and Ferrari have also improved…” he added.

With six races remaining in the season, Lance believes a podium finish is still possible… as long as his rivals fail.

“It’s harder to fight for a podium, but I think if we improve the car a little more and end up with a good position or something is happening between Mercedes, Ferrari or else, it’s possible. There are a lot of races to come,” concluded the Canadian.
