KAMELOT – LOST PARADISE – ANVIL

KAMELOT’s Thomas Youngblood Talks The Awakening, Tommy Karevik, And More PARADISE LOST Completes 30th Anniversary Re-Recording Of “Icon” – ANVIL has completed pre-production on their upcoming studio album.

Thomas Youngblood of KAMELOT talks about The Awakening, Tommy Karevik, etc in an interview for metal injection.

“I feel like the comfort level is now pretty smooth. Also having Tommy as one of the main songwriters is great for me and Oliver. He can do a lot and record his vocals now in his home studio in Canada. So all of those things make it easier to be more creative and to include more details, to spend more time on things. And I think that shows on this album. There has tons of variety on the album.

“I love feeling that The Awakening brings together the best of all KAMELOT eras. We have the KAMELOT DNA still intact, but we also bring back some of the feel of the Ghost Opera days or even Midsummer’s Eve. It has a lot of the DNA from KAMELOT’s previous ballad with that Celtic twist, like what we did on “A Sailorman’s Hymn. So yeah, I think he has everything for KAMELOT fans.”

“I think the way people consume music, if you put out an album every year, there would be a lot of songs that would probably fly under the radar. There’s even talk of bands that only put out one or two songs a year instead of an album, because of the way a lot of people consume music now. We always write albums for the guy or girl who’s going to listen to it cover to cover, is not it ? “

Napalm Records in association with Knife Fight Media will reissue on November 17 the albums of KAMELOT “Ghost Opera”, “Poetry for the Poisoned” and “A Cold Winter Night”.

They will be released in double digipak and black vinyl or as an exclusive marbled edition.

The leader of LOST PARADISE , Nick Holmesspoke about the band’s decision to re-record “Icon”: “Our specific recording contract at the time we signed for the ‘Icon’ album meant that we would never own the rights to our music or cover art, so at In the future, in order to re-release the album ourselves for the 30th anniversary, we had to re-record and completely redo the album cover. The re-recording of ‘Icon’ not only allowed us to release it in series of collectors editions on vinyl it was also great to bring some songs to life nothing can or will ever replace those original recordings they are a nostalgic part of all our lives but it was so much fun reliving those early days once more, and I hope the final result will show it!”

The group is also preparing its next album.

LOST PARADISE They released their latest album “Obsidian” on May 15, 2020 via Nuclear Blast.
