Canadian tourist criticizes Chilean attitude – Publimetro Chile

The Canadian user of social network shared a series of tweets detailing his experience in Santiago, Chile, offering a balanced view encompassing both the positive and negative aspects of the Chilean capital.

Starting with the unfavorable aspects, Bellic discussed the geographical distance from Santiagodescribing it as “till the end of the world”, making it difficult to access from other parts of the globe. In addition, it highlighted the intense heat of summer in the southern hemisphere and in the density of the Chilean accent as less favorable aspects for him.

In reference to nightlife, Bellic expressed disappointment, calling it not very lively compared to other Latin American countries. He also criticized the local cuisine and the perceived attitude of Santiago residents, suggesting that they might have a “superiority complex”.

The good things of Chile

However, not everything was critical. Bellic praised Chile's organization and cleanliness, comparing it to that of an industrialized country. He highlighted the modernity of the use of cards for payments and the efficiency of the public transport system.

Likewise, the Canadian tourist praised Chile's natural beauty, particularly in the north, south and Patagonia, describing it as a paradise for hiking enthusiasts. He also made a controversial comment mentioning that he had seen the most beautiful women on the continent in Chile.

Regarding the English language, Bellic praised the ability of Chileans to speak it, which would make it easier for foreigners to discover the country. However, he concluded that Chile is not an ideal destination to visit on a recurring basis, although he highlighted its potential as a nature tourist destination and the beauty of Chilean women with black hair.

In summary, Bellic gave Santiago a 6.5 out of 10thus reflecting a mixed experience that encompassed a variety of both positive and negative aspects of the city and country.
