Canadian government fires politician who invited former Nazi soldier

Logo after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a speech in the House of Commons during the sixth fair, Canadian MPs applauded 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka as House Speaker Anthony Rota was introduced as a hero of war that mourns the First Ukrainian Division, during the Second World War – a division that mourns alongside the war machine of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime.

Rota has demanded to apologize for the incident and will now meet party leaders in the House of Commons, after which two opposition parties demanded their dissolution, during the second fair, alleging a lack of political trust .

Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly also called for Rota to be fired.

“It is totally unacceptable. It was a shame for the Câmara and for the Canadians, and as Rota must open the members of the Câmara and afastar-take charge,” explained Joly, who will already be mentioned on this episode as the ‘Ukrainian. Government.

However, Rota said he was still considering his decision, after hearing successive appeals against his decision, promising a decision in the coming hours.

The First Ukrainian Division was also known as the Waffen-SS Galicia Division, or the 14th Waffen SS Division, a volunteer unit under the command of two Nazis.

The Simon Wiesenthal Friends Center for Holocaust Studies also called for Rota’s dismissal, alleging he invited a former member of the Waffen-SS “to leave a stain on the venerable Assembly of Canada.”

No excuses, no Sunday, Rota said he was the one responsible for inviting Hunka.

“It is good that Speaker Rota has personally apologized and I am sure that he will at this time reflect on the dignity of the House,” said Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The Prime Minister’s Office said it was not aware that Hunka had been invited to the House of Commons.

In Moscow, a Kremlin spokesperson said it was “scandalous” that Hunka was applauded during a visit to Otava.

Russian President Vladimir Putin accuses the Ukrainian regime of being neo-Nazi, although Zelensky is Jewish and lost family members in the Holocaust.
