Canada's Skyfox Media and Germany's Studio 100 International Team Up for Comedy-Adventure 'Grimmlings'

EXCLUSIVE: Skyfox Media in Toronto and Studio 100 International in Munich have developed a comedy-adventure that promises a mix of “fantasy, steampunk and humor.”

Smile is billed as a heartwarming adventure comedy set at St. Mary's Orphanage. Crispin, Shropshire, England, in 1908, and will explore themes of friendship, family and self-discovery in the “fantastic world” of woodland creatures.

The story follows Owen, an orphan, and his best friend Temperance, as they accidentally release menacing forest monsters called Grimmlings from a hidden grimoire. The duo, with the help of a peculiar scientist named Quimple, embark on a quest to capture the creatures and confront the offspring of the evil Brothers Grimm before Halloween night.

Skyfox CEO Hong Kim and executive producer Brendan McNeill will produce the project.
