The program International experience of Canada (IEC) officially opened its Call 2024, offering the possibility of up to 90 thousand young foreigners live, work and study in the land of the maple leaf.

The call has been open since December 11, to all people who have between 18 and 35 years old to participate.

This initiative allows participants to legally reside in Canada for up to two years, providing the opportunity to work and take classes while in the country.

Available jobs span diverse sectors, from hospitality and tourism to healthcare, science and commerce.

For interested Mexicans, it is important to note that those who have previously participated in the program must wait three years before applying again.

The process involves foreigners entering their profile and CV into a “pool” where employers can contact them and offer them a job that meets the requested requirements. Selected candidates have 10 days to accept the invitation.

The program offers three modalities: International Working Holiday for those who do not have a specific job offer and who wish to have more than one employer; International cooperative, intended for university students with internship or job offers in Canada, and Young professionals, Aimed at foreigners with job offers that contribute to their professional development and require a university degree.

Interested people can submit their application for admission via the website. ircc.canada.ca, a completely free process. However, once a job offer is made, it must be pay a fee of 156 Canadian dollars continue the work permit process.

It is essential that candidates are citizens of countries with which Canada has international experience agreements, and in this 2024 call, Mexico is included.

Additionally, participants are recommended to purchase medical insurance for their trip and have 2,500 Canadian dollars to cover expenses for their stay in the country.
