Valladolid already has all its national teams competing. The latest to join the calendar is the Aliados Foundation, which launched the wheelchair basketball honor division a week ago; Ponce Ginemédica, who made his debut in the women’s basketball League 2; and the University of Valladolid VCV, which made it in the Men’s Volleyball Super League 2. A few dates before, the two Elite teams of the CPLV, Caja Rural and Munia Panteras, had done it in inline hockey.
These five join Real Valladolid, Recoletas Atlético Valladolid, Caja Rural Aula Valladolid, VRAC Quesos Entrepinares, El Salvador and UEMC Real Valladolid as leading representatives of local sport. Just like Unión Arroyo, Grupo CHR Hand Vall, Promesas, Atlético Tordesillas, Laguna, Parquesol or CD Pisuerga TM/Drago TT, although in categories further from the elite.
The CPLV has already been present for three days in the main roller hockey leagues. Their two teams, Caja Rural and Munia Panteras, occupy second place and aspire, once again, to the title won by the women’s team last season. International goalkeeper Laura López de Ochoa is new to their ranks. In the men’s team, Dani Díez returns after a year in France and Czech player-coach PatrikSebek joins him; the Canadian Jimmy Teed and the young international Gonzalo Jiménez.
The Fundación Aliados started a new season a week ago, even though the official competition had already done so with the Super Cup. It has several new faces: the Argentinian Matías Méndez and the Israeli Maor Alfasi; in addition to the Iranians Amirreza Ahmadi and Omid Hadiazhar, and the Israeli Radi Dagamin, who have not yet arrived in Valladolid.
The UVa Valladolid Volleyball Club also launched its league. In their case, within Super League 2. Coached by Edu Valverde and César Alonso, it is a young team, made up almost entirely of players from Valladolid (in fact Jorge Martín, Bruno Arranz, Miguel Ángel Santos and Alejandro González made his debut in the category a week ago) and who dreams of consolidating the city in the elite of men’s volleyball.
Finally, Pucelano women’s basketball once again has a team in the national league, in this case in the third, in the Women’s League 2. Ponce Ginemédica obtained promotion last season and competes with a very local team: Last week, all players made their debut in the category, with the exception of Yohanna Morton, the only one with LF2 experience.
In this way, all the teams represented in the national competitions, at the expense of CD UVa starting with the First Gold of badminton, the second division of this sport, are already fully operational.
