ABB inaugurated a technology center in Mérida

In Mérida, Yucatán, the ABB company began operations in the entity and inaugurated its Engineering Development Center (MXTEC), from where staff will serve the US and Canadian markets.

Anders Kornblad, director of global operations for the company, said that they chose Yucatan to establish the center because of the development it presents, because it is a safe place and because of the good relations with the universities.

It was added that in Yucatan some universities already They teach the first cybersecurity specialties throughout the southeast of the country.

At the same time, academic laboratories for innovation, aerospace design, cybersecurity, digital design and manufacturing are ready at UTM and UPY.

The company is present in San Luis Potosí, Naucalpan, Coatzacoalcos and Monterrey; focuses on robotics, power generation, automation, industrial equipment and other technologies.
