The Governor Gustavo Saenz held in Toronto, Canada, a working meeting with executives of the Canadian mining company Fortuna Silver Mines INC. that walking has through its subsidiary Mansfield Minera SA, the Mina Lindero project, the first gold operation in Salta.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Secretary of Mines and Energy, Flavia Royón, the situation of the project and its future expansion was analyzed, taking into account that with Mina Lindero (located in the Salar of Arizaro, Los Andes Department), the company has already invested $440 million in the project, in the exploration, pre-construction, construction and pre-production phases and plans to inject $26,300,000 This year.

The Governor underlined the importance of the project which allows economic growth and local progress in the province, allowing gold to be the second most exported product in Salta in a single year of exploitation.

Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. generates almost 600 direct jobs, more than 70% from the province of Salta and hundreds more indirectly.

The leaders thanked the support of the Province and the importance of the position of Salta in the world of investment in obtaining financing for the development of projects.
