BADMINTON IN SANTIAGO 2023 WILL ADD A SCORE TO THE OLYMPIC RANKINGS

Duel of giants. Canada leads Pan American badminton, while Brazil looks to strengthen its presence in the medal table at Santiago 2023.

Present at the Pan American Games since Mar del Plata 1995, badminton is a sport that promises not only intensity, but also adds points to Olympic qualification for Santiago 2023. From this Saturday, October 21 to Wednesday, October 25 at the National Olympic Training Center, five different categories will compete: men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles.

Emotions will reach their peak on Tuesday, October 24, with the long-awaited semi-finals, while on Wednesday, October 25, the champions will be crowned with the presentation of the coveted medals.

FIGURES TO FOLLOW

Canada presents itself as the dominant power of these Pan American Games, with a record of 21 titles to date, standing out in women’s doubles. They are closely followed by Brazil, who aspire to strengthen their position in the medal table, and the United States, who are also present on the podium.
