Conservative Party of Canada, Jewish organizations call on Trudeau to take responsibility for hospital massacre
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau insisted this Friday that Canada still does not have enough evidence to attribute the Al Ahli hospital massacre in Gaza to Israel or Palestinian groups, during which hundreds of people died.
Trudeau said this Friday at a press conference that Canada continues to work with its allies to determine “exactly” what happened at the hospital.
“The protection of civilian lives, whether hostages held by Hamas or civilians in the Gaza Strip or elsewhere, must be the priority,” declared the Canadian leader.
Trudeau is under intense pressure from the Conservative Party of Canada and Jewish organizations to declare the responsibility of Palestinian groups for the massacre at the hospital where hundreds of people displaced by Israeli bombings were sheltering.
Three influential Jewish organizations (B’nai Brith, Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs and Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center) issued a joint statement accusing Trudeau of supporting Hamas’ position by failing to hold Palestinian groups responsible for the massacre.
The Canadian Prime Minister insisted that “the loss of innocent lives is completely unacceptable” and that Canada is working to end hostilities.
On Thursday, Trudeau called the evidence presented by Israel regarding responsibility for the attack on Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza “preliminary.”
