The Canadian professor also explained that in her country, there is a whole protocol for this type of allergic symptoms that can be fatal if they are not processed on time.

“In my school, there are 350 students, and among these 350, more than 70 students have known allergies. Basically, we Every school year, we receive a complete list of allergies and what to do for every student in the school”, said the teacher who also added that in the class she is in, she has a student with known allergies to at least five other students, that is why she has the EpiPen in case of an accident.

He also gave a detail that attracts attention because it is not something common in Peru.

“Students cannot share anything from their lunchbox and a few years ago it was also forbidden to have anything containing peanuts and seafood in the lunchbox because it was very common allergies,” he explained.

“Every time there was a snack or it was lunch time I had to check and anything with peanuts or shellfish had to be removed and they also couldn't eat it in class or at school (…) We are very strict on this point because the cases are numerous and these are serious allergies.“, he stated.
