CineFAM Film Festival

This film presentation features original cinematic stories of non-binary Canadian women and creators of color, illustrating how the characters respond to major change or challenge by embracing and manifesting their inner light, a guiding force that strengthens their resolve in the face of to adversity.

This is a free event taking place October 22-23 at the Imagine Cinemas Carlton Theater located at 20 Carlton Street, Toronto.

Imagine NATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival

It is the largest Indigenous festival in the world showcasing film, video, audio, and digital and interactive media created by Indigenous screen content creators.

imagineNATIVE will feature over 147 works from 16 countries in over 55 indigenous languages. The Festival will include 19 feature films, 13 thematic short film programs, nine digital + interactive works, nine audio works, six exhibitions, five music videos and a featured artist in Mohawk filmmaker and visual artist Shelley Niro.

From October 18 to 23, it will be in person at various locations, and from October 24 to 30, it will be online. You can check the costs and schedules here.

Toronto After Dark Film Festival

The Toronto After Dark Film Festival is one of the world’s leading showcases for new horror, sci-fi and action films, enjoyed by over 10,000 viewers and attendees each year.

This is an adult event, it will take place at the Scotiabank Theater located at 259 Richmond St W, Toronto from October 19-23. You can check prices and timetables here.
