“If progress continues, we can already think that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow the water depth will be one and a half meters and divers and rescuers will be able to enter, that is, explain what is happening in the mine,” he commented. .
The National Civil Protection Coordinator, Laura Velázquez, explained that this Monday there were no conditions for the entry of the rescue forces; indicated that an underwater drone was used to determine entry.
“Contact has been made with the water table and the following is determined: there are no conditions for the entry of search and rescue bodies yesterday. A large number of solid elements and turbulence were observed, the equipment will later make it possible to record on video the state of the galleries and shafts, once the mine struts have been reduced,” he said. .
He added that today the pumping of each of the drilled wells and sumps will continue.
