With a landslide victory in the elections, Raúl Figueroa, candidate of Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba, becomes the new Legislator of the Department of Ischilín. He obtained more than 46.12% of the votes, leaving Jorge Arce of Juntos por el Cambio in second place with 26.32%. The department also backed gubernatorial candidate Martín Llaryora.
In the elections held in the department of Ischilín, Raúl Figueroa, candidate for the position of legislator for Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba, obtained a large victory with more than 46.12% of the votes, which translates into 8,400 votes in his favor. With this result, the current mayor of the city is consecrated as the new departmental legislator.
Second place in these elections went to Jorge Arce, representative of Together for Change, who obtained 26.32% of the votes, which is equivalent to 4,795 votes. Despite his exceptional participation, he could not overcome the support obtained by Figueroa.
Raúl Figueroa won in several towns in the department of Ischilín, including Quilino, Las Canteras, Olivares de San Nicolás, Villa Gutiérrez and Cañada de Río Pinto. However, he suffered a defeat at San Pedro de Toyos, where he failed to win.
It should be noted that the candidate for governor Martín Llaryora was also the winner in the department of Ischilín, consolidating the support of the community for the proposal of Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba.
The electoral list allowed for these elections in the county of Ischilin had a total of 29,666 voters. Citizen participation was significant since 19,010 people exercised their right to vote, which represents a percentage of 67.78% of the register.
With this solid result and the support of the community, Raúl Figueroa will assume his new role as Departmental Legislator of Ischilin
