The governor of Donetsk province, Pavlo Kirilenko, announced that at least eight people were killed and 21 others injured in a Russian attack on the city of Sloviansk, in Donetsk (east). Ukrainian police said 10 buildings were damaged and the top two floors of a five-story building collapsed after the impact. Rescuers pulled a two-year-old boy from the rubble, who died in the ambulance on the way to hospital. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack. “They continue to kill people in broad daylight,” he said.
