Sánchez sees points of interest in China’s peace proposal
The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, said on Friday that China’s initiative to end the Russian war in Ukraine is of interest, because what he considers It’s important to see her firsthand when she meets next week in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
In a media appearance after the European Council, he insisted that Spain and the European Union have supported the peace plan proposed by the President of Ukraine, Volodímir Zelenskibecause it can guarantee a lasting and just peace.

“It is important to learn firsthand what the meanings behind these points are directly from President Xi Jinping,” said Sánchez, who recalled that China is a global actor and that “obviously its voice must be heard to see if together we can end the war”.
