Two Canadian mining companies in Guerrero are extorted for crime, recognizes AMLO – El Sol de México

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador accepted this Thursday morning that two Canadian mining companies are extorted in the state of Warrior by criminal groups

However, the President assured that steps are already being taken to ensure that the issue is addressed and resolved.

“We only have problems in two (Canadian companies) and they are also correct that they are extorted in Guerrero by groups dedicated to crime, but we are already dealing with them, but only two,” said he pointed out.

In this sense, López Obrador added that yesterday he met with businessmen from this North American country to resolve the disagreements they have linked to the electrical sector.

“Yesterday I was with businessmen from Canada who had disagreements,” the president said, as at the North American Leaders’ Summit he engaged with the prime minister, Justin Trudeauto serve them.

“He asked me if we were going to take care of it and personally with the Economic Cabinet we took care of four Canadian companies and we solved the four problems without any obstacle”, he affirmed.

Finally, he said that these companies had to do with problems in the electricity sector, as also happened a few months ago with some Americans, which is why he concluded that in his government they always sought reconciliation.
