Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau warned Monday that Canada will continue to act against unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in its airspace to ensure the “safety” of aviation and the Canadian people.
Trudeau said from Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon Territory where a US warplane shot down an object that entered Canadian airspace on Saturday, that Canadian teams are still searching for the remains of the artifact.
The Canadian Prime Minister added that it is necessary to recover and analyze the remains of the object to have more information on its origin and its mission.
“We take this very seriously,” he said of the series of unidentified aircraft detected in recent days in North America.
Trudeau also noted that Canada is using diplomatic channels to get more information about them.
On Sunday, the United States shot down another object flying over Lake Huron on the Canadian border, the fourth downed since American warplanes shot down a Chinese balloon off North Carolina on February 4.)
On Sunday, the US Department of Defense said it did not know the origin of the three aircraft shot down in the past three days in the United States and Canada and could not yet confirm whether they were Chinese like the spy balloon shot down in North Carolina.
