EFE.- The Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has asked the Mexican food company Bimbo to increase its investments in Canada, where it already has 16 production plants and some 4,300 employees.
Trudeau made the request to Grupo Bimbo CEO Daniel Servitje during the meeting the two men held Monday in Mexico City as part of the X North American Leaders Summit taking place in the Mexican capital.
As the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada (OPMC) revealed on Tuesday, Trudeau expressed his gratitude to Servitje for Grupo Bimbo’s investments and operations in the country.
“The Prime Minister has encouraged Grupo Bimbo to maintain and expand its investments in Canada,” SPOPM said in a statement.

Grupo Bimbo, which also has 11 distribution centers and 183 warehouses in Canada, is the biggest Mexican investor in this other North American country.
