It looked like Jorgenson was going to win the stage, but he ran out of legs in the last kilometer and even finished in third place. The Canadian Michael Woods catches up with him and continues straight, and at 36 he manages to win the ninth stage of the Tour de France.

As Woods celebrated, the favorites fight was left behind, which due to their pace took out Gaudu, Bardet, Van Aert, Bernal, among others. Jonas Vingaard, Pogacar, Pidcock, Simon Yates and Carlos Rodríguez stayed.

A kilometer and a half from the finish, Tadej Pogacar attacked and dropped Vingaard, who tried to follow his wheel, but the Slovenian looked better, who once again showed that he was made of a different material. .
