The Meliá Bali hotel was the setting for the G20 summit this week, bringing together top political leaders from the world’s major powers.
United States President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have been there. The President of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, the British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, the Canadian, Justin Trudeau, and the Frenchman, Emmanuel Macron, were also present.
The property is fully prepared for this type of celebration. It has up to 11 meeting rooms, with a total of 2,065 square meters, and can accommodate more than 2,000 people.
The central theme of the meeting was the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the effect of which continues to impact economies around the world. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez again criticized Putin’s “repeated violation of the most elementary and fundamental principles of international law, and the resulting risk of escalation”.
The national leader expressed his great gratitude “to this hotel, to its management and to all the workers of the Meliá chain, for the hospitality and professionalism to the attention of the entire Spanish delegation”.
