Canada.- There Ministry of Foreign Relations of Mexico confirmed that the Royal Mounted Police have located human remains in Lake Osoyoos, which will be analyzed to see if they match the Mexican bodies. Carlos Tomas Aranda Burgoinwho was reported missing on July 7.

“The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are reported to have notified the location of a body on the shores of Osoyoos Lake, wearing the clothing Carlos Tomás Aranda Burgoin was last seen in on July 7, 2023.”
“The medical examiner will carry out the corresponding tests from DNA samples to confirm whether it is indeed Carlos Tomas,” the statement said.
According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police report, the lake where the human remains were located was 50 feet (15.24 meters) from the shore of Gyro Beach.
“The RPMC responded and recovered the body of a male which was approximately 50ft off Gyro Beach,” Canadian police said.
In turn, they mentioned that they were working with the BC Forensic Service to determine if the remains were related to Carlos Tomás.
“The Osoyoos RPMC is working with BC Forensic Services to identify the man and determine if there is a correlation to the 30-year-old man who was reported missing in Osoyoos on July 7, 2023” , they said.
For its part and in its press release, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs pledged to provide Carlos’ family with all the assistance and support necessary before the Canadian authorities.

Carlos Tomas Aranda Burgoin is a 30-year-old Mexican from Oaxaca who was working in Canada when he was reported missing by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
