Canada.- There Ministry of Foreign Relations of Mexico confirmed that the Royal Mounted Police have located human remains in Lake Osoyoos, which will be analyzed to see if they match the Mexican bodies. Carlos Tomas Aranda Burgoinwho was reported missing on July 7.

In turn, they mentioned that the remains found had the clothes Carlos was wearing when he was last seen. They specified that the forensic authorities will carry out the corresponding tests on the basis of DNA samples to determine if the remains correspond to Carlos.

“The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are reported to have notified the location of a body on the shores of Osoyoos Lake, wearing the clothing Carlos Tomás Aranda Burgoin was last seen in on July 7, 2023.”

“The medical examiner will carry out the corresponding tests from DNA samples to confirm whether it is indeed Carlos Tomas,” the statement said.

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police report, the lake where the human remains were located was 50 feet (15.24 meters) from the shore of Gyro Beach.

“The RPMC responded and recovered the body of a male which was approximately 50ft off Gyro Beach,” Canadian police said.

In turn, they mentioned that they were working with the BC Forensic Service to determine if the remains were related to Carlos Tomás.

“The Osoyoos RPMC is working with BC Forensic Services to identify the man and determine if there is a correlation to the 30-year-old man who was reported missing in Osoyoos on July 7, 2023” , they said.

For its part and in its press release, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs pledged to provide Carlos’ family with all the assistance and support necessary before the Canadian authorities.

“The Government of Mexico, through the Foreign Affairs Secretarywill accompany the Aranda Burgoin family to provide them with all the necessary consular assistance, as well as accompaniment before the Canadian authorities”, concludes the press release.

Carlos Tomas Aranda Burgoin is a 30-year-old Mexican from Oaxaca who was working in Canada when he was reported missing by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police website, Carlos was last seen on July 7, 2023. In turn, it was reported that Carlos had barely been working in Canada for a month and his friends and family have stated that they weren’t used to not having seen him for so long, so his disappearance alarmed them.

Among the physical characteristics of Carlos issued by the Canadian police, it is mentioned that he is 1.78 meters tall and weighs approximately 68 kilograms. He has dark hair, a beard and brown eyes. As a particular sign, Carlos has a mole on his neck.

Carlos was last seen wearing gray pants, a green and black hoodie, and black sneakers.
