Yesterday it became known that the first three containers out of a total of 40, which will transport Christmas trees, had arrived from Canada.
Luis Benavides, executive deputy director of agricultural quarantine, of the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA), indicated that the average annual importation of the famous “small trees” is 90 to 100 containers, each bringing between 500 and 600 trees, in depending on the size.
