In his speech, the Canadian Minister of Heritage and Multiculturalism stressed that, given the value of journalistic work in his country, he presented a draft of three bills so that the giants of the web contribute to the fairness, independence and freedom of the press to strengthen democracy.
Similarly, Cruz Blackledge underscored the importance of Canada-Mexico relations, as for more than 78 years the two nations have shared a multi-faceted relationship characterized by deep people-to-people ties, extensive cultural ties and increased investments and trade.
Mexico and Canada are characterized by the talent that their people bring to world culture, added the blue and white senator, and said that affinities are much more important than any differences despite the distances, since a true brotherhood was built between the two nations. .
The legislator also showed solidarity and offered the support of the Senate of the Republic after the damage left in its wake by storm Fiona across Canadian territory.
