It was in November 1998 that the IMAX screen made its debut at the Explora Science Center, with the aim of educating young and old in a different way.
During his 25 years of stay, the first films were shownwhich, thanks to its technology, allowed visitors to the Science Center, see education, nature, art and music through the seventh art.

Gerardo Ibarra, director of the Explora Scientific Center, announced that the contract with the Canadian company IMAX ends on the last day of this month.
In figures, the Leonardo Da Vinci Theater at Explora welcomed 4.5 million people, 93 poster films were screened.
To close this cycle, the festival entitled “The Last One and We’re Going” has been prepared. The films with which the IMAX screen will close are: “The Monarch’s Flight”, “Flying Monsters” and “Turtle Odyssey”, the last performances will take place on February 28 at 5:00 p.m.
From March, the park will begin a transition period to convert the Leonardo Da Vinci Theater into a digital theater with other types of projections.
