How to gain work experience while studying in Canada?

You are eligible to apply for the FSWEP (Federal Student Work Experience Program) if:

Is a full-time high school, CEGEP, college or university student
They return to full-time studies in the next academic year
Meet the minimum age requirement in the province/territory in which you will be working

Canada offers jobs in the communication, tourism, hospitality and gastronomy sectors

Students who are in their final year of university studies and who will not be returning to full-time studies in the next term can still work part-time until they graduate.

This includes students with physical or emotional disabilities who are considered full-time students by their educational institution.

Mature students enrolled in high school education and upgrading programs may also be eligible for student employment programs.

After you submit your application, you will be included in the Federal Government Student Directory, then when there are vacancies, the directory will be searched and if you meet the criteria, you may be contacted for an interview.

Salaries available

With the PFETE (Federal Student Work Experience Program), you can find full-time or part-time jobs and student pay rates range from $16 to $34.59 per hour as approved the PFETE page. Government of Canada.
