SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, SLP. October 6, 2023.- San Luis Potosí will once again host one of the stages of the iconic Pan-American race, which celebrates its 36th anniversary and which includes the capital of Potosí in its route.

The city’s head of Sports, Luis Fernando Alonso Molina, said that the event will take place from October 13 to 19 and that the participation of 32 pilots with their respective navigators is expected. This is achieved thanks to the great efforts of Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos to allow citizens to practice international class sports activities.

He added that the routes of this edition change, since, unlike 2022, now the contingent will come from Aguascalientes to leave later towards Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí therefore represents the last stage and could be decisive for pilots looking to access the title. .

The Panamerican Race will touch down in Potosí on October 18 and the cars will arrive at 5:30 p.m. at the Plaza de los Fundadores where the finish line will be located. The departure will take place on October 19 at 6:15 a.m. in Morales Juan H. Sánchez Park.

This event brings together 8 States of the Republic and the Capital of Yes has raised its hand with the great tradition that exists in motorsport. In this edition you will be able to see automotive gems such as the Porsche 911 of Canadians Pyerre Michalltchouk and Stephan Gingras, as well as the 1953 Studebaker of champion Ricardo Cordero and his navigator Marco Hernández. We will also see classic jewels modified for competition, such as the enigmatic Beetles from the German firm VW, as well as Datsun, Mercedes Benz, Ferrari, Ford Falcon and BMW, among others.
