Casademont Zaragoza presented its new general manager, Jose Antonio Artigaswho attended a press conference with the current manager of the rojillo team, Jorge Aguaron. The team begins today its pre-season with the usual medical tests and will do so without today maradespite being called up to be with the rest of his teammates when Casademont figures out he still has a contract in place.
One of the main problems in the air is precisely the absence of Aday Mara for these first days of work at Casademont. The club’s new general manager, José Antonio Artigas explained that “Aday Mara, advised by her representatives, chose to appear before a judge. The first thing I did when I arrived at Basket Zaragoza was to pick up the phone and contact their representatives. They told me that this case should be decided by a judge.
“I would have liked him to continue in the club, but we’re not going to have a player who doesn’t want to be there,” Artigas explained. For now, the club will function without the promising player from Zaragoza, already presented by the University of UCLA.
The Maño team will train until the start of the Endesa League on September 24, when Casademont will make their debut against Real Madrid, in a very tough clash to start the season. These days, the three players who are with their teams, the Canadian Bell-Haynes and the Serbs Stefan Jovic and Borisa Simanic, as well as Okafor, who will join on September 1, will still have to join.
