MEXICALI, Baja California. Cachanilla boxer Diana Tapia (4-1, 2KO's) will face Canadian Carolyn Redmon (5-0, 2KO's) this Saturday, August 27 in the 154-pound super-welterweight division, a fight agreed to over eight rounds.
This fight will take place at the Hamilton Conversion Center in Ontario, Canada, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Tapia, who prepared at 686Gym, said this commitment was a long and difficult preparation.

“We had a very difficult preparation, because now we have done bodybuilding and sparring with girls more skillful and more agile than me, we think that all this will help us for this fight,” commented the 29-year-old boxer years.
Diana comes into this fight having defeated Citlalli Ortiz by unanimous decision on March 19, while the Ontarian beat Simone da Silva by unanimous decision on May 7.
“The truth is that I don't know much about it, I just know that in May they offered me this fight and so they didn't do it, we will try to close the year well, if a fight comes after, it’s welcome, I’m already looking at other categories to see if there are more opportunities but they give up,” concluded the Cachanilla fighter.
