Colombian Foreign Minister Álvaro Leyva pointed out that representatives of the United States, Canada and some European countries will visit Bogotá on April 25, 2023, para looking for ways to recover the dialogue between the Venezuelan regime and oppositionin order to guarantee the transparency of the presidential elections in Venezuela in 2024.
“On the 25th of this month (April), it will take place in the capital of the Republic, Bogotáa conference with countries of Latin America, which includes the United States, Canada and European countries, to see how the resumption of the political dialogues that took place in Mexico can be achieved, naturally with the opposition parties and President Maduro”, declared the Minister of Foreign Affairs Alvaro Leyva at the UN.

With this, a programmatic solution is sought to the various problems that the country is experiencing, both in its democracy and in the economic blockages that the country is experiencing and which have devalued the local currency, thus affecting the way of life of millions of Venezuelans.
It should be noted that Colombian President Gustavo Petro asks that during the presidential elections of 2024, there be an agreement to accompany the UNITED STATES that legitimize the next president of Venezuela.
In the midst of a meeting that took place in Venezuela, the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, reportedly indicated to Maduro the need for the upcoming elections in the neighboring country to be transparent, guaranteeing the participation of the opposition.
It should be remembered that in 2024 the elections will be held in the neighboring country, and several sectors of the opposition and even the international community are already questioning the legality and transparency of the Venezuelan electoral exercise, given the fact as the violation of human rights by the Maduro regime.
It is for this reason that President Gustavo Petro, taking advantage of the opening of commercial and political relations with Venezuela, wishes to seize the opportunity to guarantee democratic mechanisms of participation and mediation between the ruling party and the opposition. .
The decision of the Head of State to renew relations with the neighboring country has generated multiple impressions, from those who save the action of the national government to ensure the care of Colombian and Venezuelan citizens, to the voracious critics of the right-wing opposition that he designates Petro as an accomplice if he continues to maintain a diplomatic link with Nicolas Maduro.
Venezuelan comedian Benjamín Rausseo, popularly known by his character “Er Conde del Guácharo”, has announced that he will participate in the opposition primary elections, which will be held on October 22 to choose who will face Chavismo in the presidential elections scheduled for 2024 “I am Benjamín Rausseo and I am running as a candidate in the primaries to be the president of all Venezuelans,” he said in a message, where he expressed his commitment to carry out a “high-level campaign” and “the respect”. towards his “worthy adversaries”. Rausseo began his “all-Venezuela” tour in western Caracas on Tuesday, with the aim of “collecting (…) the greatest number of signatures as soon as possible”, he explained. “Venezuelans deserve opportunities, a government that guarantees us health, education, employment, personal and legal security, to be independent and masters of our own destiny. I promise to work with the best in every field, regardless of their political or religious ideology,” he said.
