Rock band Aerosmith has postponed concerts on its farewell “Peace Out” tour in the United States and Canada until 2024, due to problems with the vocal cords of the band's frontman and singer, Steven Tyler. “I'm heartbroken to say that I have been given a strict doctor's order not to sing for the next thirty days,” read Tyler's message posted to the group's Instagram account.
“I suffered damage to my vocal cords during the 'show' on Saturday September 9, which caused bleeding. We need to reschedule some dates so we can come back and give you the performance you deserve. The band, founded in Boston in 1970, has not released a new album since the 2012 release of “Another Dimension!” », the fifteenth album of their career.

For this occasion, the onstage lineup included Tyler and original band members Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford. John Douglas replaced original drummer Joey Kramer, who took “temporary leave” from the band starting in March 2022. And during that performance, Tyler, 75, paid tribute to British band Fleetwood Mac with a cover from “Stop Messin’ Around”.
