The Mexican team picked up their second victory at the fifteenth Pan American Senior Men’s Volleyball Cup, where Miguel Chávez of Sonora saw action in one of two matches against Canada and Brazil.

The Aztec team had to come from behind to beat the Brazilians, after falling in the first set by 19-25, but they managed to hold the victory with partials of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-19, continuing their unbeaten run in Gatineau, Quebec.
In the duel, Chávez Pasos, from Hermosillo, 26 years old and 2.02 meters tall, did not see action in the game in which Mexico scored 94 points.
The Sonora player contributed a point in the French debut against hosts Canada, playing the first two sets.
For the Mexicans, it was not an easy victory either, as they fell in the first and third sets, but they won the second, fourth and fifth finals.
Now they are focused on taking on Puerto Rico, looking to end the first phase with a perfect record in Group ‘B’.

Note that in group “A” the tickets for the final round are disputed by the Dominican Republic, the United States, Chile and Cuba.
