Sami Zayn thinks his story with The Bloodline is over

The story of sami zayn and The Bloodline has arguably been one of the best orchestrated in recent times in WWE, thanks in large part to the Canadian’s relationship with the other members of the faction. A relationship that has continued to evolve over the months, with truly organic plot twists, engaging the audience even more.

However, every story has its end. And this one was no different. Zayn was punished for opposing Roman reigns. A moment that marked his consecration as baby faceand the start of his journey to redemption that would lead him to conquer the WWE Unified Couples Championships with his great friend Kevin Owens in the main event of WrestleMania 39 on Saturday.

Despite this, Reigns didn’t leave the Canadians alone, sending the Usos to collect the gold for the faction. Owens and Zayn managed to retain the championships before the two teams were separated in the recent WWE draft, with the Canadians sent to Monday Night Raw. For their part, Jimmy and Jey were chosen by SmackDown, where the rest of The Bloodline members were previously sent.

With this story all but finished, Sami was interviewed by Alex McCarthy for inside the ropeswhere he comments, among other things, on what he has learned at this stage of his career and the importance of his script with The Bloodline. Below we leave you with their statements in this regard, transcription courtesy of Struggle:

“It’s hard to say, because sometimes I do these things and I think, ‘Well, that’s it. “I don’t think I’ll do better than that.” But I was very lucky in my career, because I turned 21 before the Bloodline story, and for many good things i had done before i was still able to do something even better with bloodline story.

So I don’t know if that’s the only thing I’m remembered for. I really don’t know why I’ll be remembered, and to be honest, it’s not up to me. But If this is something to be fondly remembered for years to come, what more could you ask for? That’s wonderful. It was a blast.

Sometimes the secret laughs, or the clear chemistry between the on-screen performers and all that, it was something unique, stars perfectly aligned to give rise to that. Many factors went into creating something so special. It would therefore be very difficult to recreate, but it’s done, more or less, and I’m glad I didand there’s not much to say other than that I hope everyone enjoyed it and remembers it fondly“.
