Qatar 2022 World Cup players who were Olympians

Of all the players who have played in this group stage of Qatar 2022, 109 have been Olympic. And some have even won the Games, as is the case of the Argentine star, Leo Messiin Beijing 2008.

Despite being eliminated after the group stage, the Qatar 2022 team with the most players to have participated in the Olympic Games was Mexicowith 16, three of whom were Olympic champions at London 2012 and nine bronze medalists at Tokyo 2020.

Brazil (champion) and Spain (silver) positioned themselves ahead of Mexico on the podium at the last Olympic Games. In Brazil’s Qatar 2022 squad, five players won the Tokyo 2020 gold medal, while in Spain, seven took second place on the podium in Japan.
