The Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Peru, Chile, Colombia and Mexico are participating today in the session of the High Level Group of the Pacific Alliance, which is being held in Mexico City.
As part of their program, these authorities will address issues of trade and cooperation for the development and competitiveness of the four countries, the foreign ministry said.
In addition, during the meeting, the vice-ministers discussed the state of trade negotiations between the Pacific Alliance and the candidates of the associated states of the said bloc: Australia, Canada, South Korea and New -Zeeland.
This meeting was preceded by a meeting of National Coordinators of the Pacific Alliance, during which the accession processes of Ecuador and Costa Rica were reviewed.
In addition, during said meeting, declarations and joint roadmaps were followed and cooperation projects were analyzed, detailed the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Pacific Alliance is a deep integration mechanism that was created on April 28, 2011, with the signing of the Lima Declaration.
