Peru: Government authorizes Prime Minister’s trip to Canada to attend PDAC 2023 mining convention | information

The executive power authorized the travel of Prime Minister Alberto Otarola to the City of Toronto, Canada, to participate as a keynote speaker at the Prospectors and Development Association of Canada (PDAC) Mining Convention 2023.

In this regard, the presidency of the Office of the Council of Ministers will be entrusted to the Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, Hania Perez de Cuellar, as long as the absence of the chief of staff lasts.

The head of the ministerial cabinet will participate in Peru Dayscheduled for March 6.

The following day, Otarola and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, will hold a meeting with global investors and entrepreneurs to promote the investment opportunities available in Peru.

The presence of the Peruvian delegation, led by the Prime Minister and made up of Ministers Oscar Vera Gargurevich (Energy and Mines) and Alex Contreras (Economy and Finance) at the PDAC 2023, confirms the importance that the Government attaches to the successful progress of the mining to promote economic recovery and reduce poverty.

The resolution states that the Chief of Staff will participate as a keynote speaker at the CEO Luncheon, Peru’s premier luncheon at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) on March 7, 2023.

The PDAC (Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada) is the largest mining convention in the world. It hosts more than 30,000 entrepreneurs from over 130 countries.
