The Public Employment Agency of the Seine has reported on the agreements and job offers that are presented for Colombians in other countries. On this occasionseveral calls have been opened to work in Canadian regions and in trades that do not necessarily require a high academic qualification.

One of the positions to be offered is for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, in which the candidate must have at least three years of heavy equipment repair and service experience both in the shop and in the field, or a university degree that accredits it, in addition to experience in the mining sector, since it is a Franco-English country, it is required that those interested have intermediate levels of English for the job.

The work would be carried out in Toronto, Ontario, and 20 places are available, with salaries of more than 20,000,000 pesos, according to Sena, adding that a type of fixed-term contract is on offer.

“Safety conscious with a broad knowledge of Caterpillar products and systems. A basic knowledge of cutting, welding and fabrication. Able to read and understand printouts, drawings and technical bulletins. Analytical with mechanical knowledge in electrical and hydraulic systems. Customer orientation, with excellent interpersonal relationship management skills”, are the skills that the candidate must possess.

Another of the job vacancies in the northern continent country is for carpenters, since they need 20 people ready to work full time, with a type of fixed term contract, also in Toronto, Ontario, with an intermediate level of English and for a salary of between 15 and 18 million pesos, according to Sena.

“Measure, cut, shape, join and glue wood materials, wood substitutes, light steel and other materials. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Prepare designs in accordance with building codes. Ability to use measuring tools”, are some of the functions that must be fulfilled.

Those wishing to apply must have a minimum of 12 months of experience performing the tasks described, as well as education in carpentry. To apply for the offer, candidates must enter the official website of the employment agency and follow the steps indicated: Seine APE.

The agency added another vacancy: “Great Canadian company, accredited by Immigration Canada and by the Ministry of Immigration of Quebec, in coordination with the Public Employment Agency Sena, requires Colombian profiles to work in this country. In total, there are five places available,” the entity first indicated.

Those interested in participating in this call must comply 100% with the profile provided in the agency’s labor intermediation platform. Also, they must have a valid passport or start the process quickly.

Live: Two (2) years of experience in aluminum smelter positions.
