Paris 2024: Canadian team member sentenced to prison for spying on New Zealand footballers with a drone

An unaccredited member of the Canadian Olympic team was sentenced on Wednesday to eight months in prisonbut without imprisonment, after being caught spying with a drone on women's football team of New Zealand.

The man, 43, was arrested last Monday after police officers guarding the Auguste-Dury stadium in the eastern city of Saint Etienne were alerted to the presence of a drone hovering on the pitch, the local network station reported. France Blue.
