Niagara Falls will light up in the colors of the Mexican flag

Niagara Falls will join Mexico’s national holidays on Independence Day and light up in the colors of the flag.

Waterfalls over 50 meters will be painted green, white and red on September 8 and 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.

Every evening, at sunset, Niagara Falls offers a spectacle of water and multicolored light.

There are special lights in the Illumination Tower, next to Queen Victoria Place; on the roof of the Table Rock Center at the edge of Horseshoe Falls; and in the depths of the Niagara Gorge, past the American Falls.

What time does Niagara Falls light up?

January: 5 p.m. – 1 a.m.

February 1 to March 11: 5:30 p.m. – 1 a.m.

March 12 to March 31: 7:30 p.m. – 1 a.m.

April, May, June & July: 8:30 p.m. – 2 a.m.

August: 8 p.m. – 2 a.m.

September: 7 p.m. – 2 a.m.

October: 6.30 p.m. – 2 a.m.

November and December: 4:30 p.m. – 2 a.m.
