Toronto (Canada), October 14 (EFE).- Canadian singer Neil Young will release a new edition of what is perhaps his most famous album, “Harvest”, in December to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his appearance.

The new edition of “Harvest” will include, in addition to the original album, an unpublished documentary, three extracts and the video of the concert “BBC In Concert”, which the artist recorded in February 1971.

Although the sound of this concert has been pirated in the past and distributed illegally since, this is the first time that “BBC In Concert,” which contains eight of the songs from “Harvest,” has been officially released as a whole.

One of the songs from “BBC In Concert”, “Heart of Gold”, is already available for listening on Neil Young’s website, www.neilyoungarchives.com.

In 1972, “Heart of Gold” became “Harvest”‘s most popular single and number 17 on “Billboard” that year.

“Harvest” will be released on December 2 in vinyl and CD format with two DVDs featuring the “BBC In Concert” concert and two hours of the documentary “Harvest Time” which brings together the recording of the original album in 1971.

The three excerpts included in “Harvest” are “Bad Fog of Loneliness”, “Journey Through the Past” and “Dance Dance Dance”.

Additionally, the discs come with a poster and a book that includes never-before-seen photos taken by photographer Joel Bernstein.

Ahead of the release of the new edition of “Harvest,” Young and the group Crazy Horse will release a new album titled “World Record” on November 18.

“Harvest” was Young’s fourth studio album and featured collaborations with artists including David Crosby, Linda Ronstad, Graham Nash, James Taylor and Stephen Stills.
